High-quality modern and vintage fabrics that had been quietly slumbering in the depths of closed tailors’ shops and factories across the country. Amid the harsh realities of a shrinking population and labor shortages, we’re shining a light once again on this deadstock—which had once seemed destined to be discarded—by transforming it into slacks. This is the story behind “Tanibuki.”
The shape may be the same, but the fabric is different. There’s only one pair.
Inspired by a single individual each season, these bottoms are crafted from a single piece of fabric—meaning only one pair can be made from each piece, making every pair a one-of-a-kind item. They are the only slacks of their kind in the world.
