A smoky, woody, adult scent.

In Sintra, Portugal, I was walking alone through the forest leading to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the Eurasian continent.
I felt the scent of conifers burst into particles and explode in my nostrils.
At that moment, I suddenly remembered raising swallowtail butterfly larvae as a child. I brought home the humble pale yellow eggs and fed them Japanese pepper leaves every day after they hatched.
A few days after becoming a pupa, a swallowtail butterfly with beautiful wings emerged. It seemed a little hesitant to leave the house where it had spent its larval stage, but eventually it quietly flew off from the balcony.

The fragrance has a gorgeous woody note with incense, leather, rose, and spices such as Sichuan pepper and ginger.
