Our long-awaited first custom order. We chose a carefully curated “Deep Brown.”
By infusing red into a deep, bluish-brown, we’ve created a mysterious hue that appears purple or burgundy depending on the light. We deliberately selected this deep shade precisely because of the fabric’s lightness. Our goal was to create a piece that exudes a mature, sophisticated allure.
The inspiration comes from Beat Takeshi.
I still can’t forget the image of him walking along the beach in a movie I saw when I was a teenager. With his light shirt fluttering in the breeze, he exuded an overwhelming presence that blended sex appeal, playfulness, and a touch of madness all at once. I’ve interpreted and brought to life the “colors in my memory”—as seen through the grainy film of that era—through my own perspective today. We’re confident in the final result.

True to its name, this “artisan” shirt reflects our meticulous attention to every detail—from the fabric and stitching to the dyeing process. Once you put it on, you won’t want to take it off. It’s the perfect shirt for the coming season. The details are inspired by dress shirts, finished with mother-of-pearl buttons.
Starting this season, we’ve added our brand engraving to the back of the buttons. It features a boxy silhouette with a generous body width. The drape when worn gives this shirt a truly unique look. Additionally, by using raw-edge seams and minimizing the use of interlining, the silhouette is constructed solely through the fabric’s natural texture.

We’ve created a jersey fabric using KANEMASA PHIL.’s proprietary 46G super-high gauge.
It is made from 100% 80/1 recycled spun cotton. It has then undergone a salt-shrinking process. This fabric, with its unique textured crinkle, is truly one-of-a-kind. It is subsequently garment-dyed. A special softening dyeing process is applied to enhance the fabric’s drape and sheer quality. Each piece is air-dried individually to preserve the fabric’s natural texture. Highly stretchy and incredibly comfortable—once you put it on, you won’t want to take it off. A new staple fabric that drapes effortlessly.
We’ve meticulously crafted this high-gauge fabric—often considered difficult to work with due to its thinness—with a focus on every detail.
Features such as raw-edge hems, sleeves, and pockets, as well as the gathered yoke and cuffs, are all crafted in our sewing factories in Japan.
