This is a gingham check. Kanemasa has created a pattern that is very much in style right now.Moreover, it has a seersucker-like feel, but with a wool blend, it has a textured, puckered feel. Rather than a clean check, it has an irregular check pattern that gives it a rustic and atmospheric feel. I really like this feel.
It's not too clean, has a slightly vintage feel, and a unique check pattern.
I also love the color. A sophisticated black and white check. The oversized fit is like a shirt jacket. The front pockets, and the fine stitching and pattern matching, prevent it from looking too casual—this is truly Kanemasa Phil.

Product Description
“Balise” is a French word meaning “signpost.” This model is characterized by its size and details, which lie between workwear and dress wear, and between a shirt and a blouson. The sizing, suitable for any occasion, represents a guiding pattern for us. We’ve adopted a classic check fabric. The check pattern is created on a unique 36G jacquard machine. This new standard material, exclusive to us, offers high stretch for an irresistible wearing comfort, crispness, luster, and easy care. By incorporating 20% wool yarn, we’ve achieved functionality for all-season wear, such as a crisp feel, warmth, and quick-drying properties, along with expressing unique color tones. During the dyeing process, when heat is applied, the wool shrinks, creating a puckered texture, resulting in a mysterious wool seersucker fabric. The details feature a dress shirt design with all seams felled and genuine shell buttons. The sleeves, however, are designed with the casual image of a blouson. This is a truly unique shirt that combines the fabric's crispness, luster, and a well-balanced silhouette with the fabric’s inherent dressiness and our pattern design. The brand logo is placed on the back of the buttons.
