This year, it’s all about the modest shirt. Compared to the Atmosphere line, it features a more refined silhouette, giving it a cleaner, dress-shirt-like look. With fall and winter approaching, I wanted a shirt to wear under a jacket. It’s a well-tailored shirt that doesn’t puff out even when tucked in. Of course, it’s also great worn on its own. As you may know, it’s machine-washable and wrinkle-resistant, but thanks to a resin treatment, it’s now water-repellent and stain-resistant. It truly is the ultimate shirt.
For the stripes, we selected colors that exude a more elegant and mature vibe. They’re truly beautiful shades.

“Modest”—understated yet beautifully refined. Named for its exquisite balance that, true to its name, doesn’t overpower, this silhouette features a moderate shoulder width that falls naturally and straight toward the hem. It’s KANEMASA PHIL.’s standard-fit shirt that offers a relaxed feel while maintaining a sophisticated impression. The fabric is an original creation produced using a 46G super-high-gauge knitting machine, which recreates the texture of high-density typewriter cloth in a knit form. Despite its high density, it offers excellent stretch, delivering a comfortable fit that you’ll never want to take off once you slip it on. It is also highly wrinkle-resistant and retains its shape well, making it easy to care for. This is the brand’s unique “New Standard” shirt fabric, combining a crisp texture and elegant sheen with the flexibility characteristic of knitwear. The yarn is a two-ply blend of 160/1 ultra-fine recycled spun cotton. By using gas-calcined yarn, the fabric minimizes pilling while bringing out a clear, beautiful luster. Furthermore, by blending 75D high-crimp recycled polyester, we’ve achieved excellent stretch and a comfortable fit.
