The MINIATURE series features items based on ‘miniatures’ like doll costumes and keychains, inspired by garments worn by vintage figures.
This time, the motif is the flight jacket worn by the action figure “G.I. Joe”.
It's a truly unique piece, recreating that tiny jacket enlarged to actual size.
Released in the 1960s as a figure for adults, G.I. Joe quickly gained popularity, leading to anime and live-action films.
So, we enlarged the jacket worn by G.I. Joe to create this piece—and it's just plain “weird.”
The collar, zipper, pockets, cigar pocket—everything is oversized.
It looks like it should have padding, but it doesn't. It's a mass of discomfort.
When you actually wear it, the shoulders are broad, the waist is narrow—it's the perfect sculpted figure physique.
The silhouette is V-shaped, giving it an indescribable presence.
You'd be hard-pressed to find such an oddly fitting piece even among vintage military gear.
It's probably one-of-a-kind, past or present.
Style it however you like.
Throw it over a T-shirt or sweatshirt,
or layer it over a jacket for a playful twist.
I'm still pondering what to pair it with.
